I love birds and when I came across this rhyme about a cuckoo, I knew I had to incorporate it into a design. I think of spring and summer as an exciting time full of warmth and growing things, and I designed this sampler to match that feeling of exuberance. You’ll find spring and early summer plants, birds, and insects nestled among the motifs that adorn this piece.

Stitch Count: 168H x 236W

Model: Stitched using one strand of floss over two fabric threads on 40 count Sparrow linen by Luminous Fiber Arts. Suggested fabric substitutions: Picture This Plus Doubloon or Zweigart Vintage Country Mocha.

Notes: There are some back and long stitches. Aida stitchers, please note that there is one stitch on the bee wing that is between stitches, and you would need to pierce your fabric or modify the wing slightly. It is the outer wing edge on the third row down (if you are counting the top of the wing as a row).

Fabric and over-dyed floss packs available separately, while in stock.
