Gathering Berries by Luminous Fiber Arts Printed Paper Pattern
Strawberries hold such nostalgia for me. They take me back to slow summer days. I hope when you stitch these birds and berries that you'll reminisce about happy summer memories, too. This design has a classic, almost vintage feel with the red silk floss on a warm neutral fabric and mother of pearl buttons.
Stitch Count: 76H x 76W
Model: stitched on 32 count Sparrow linen by Luminous Fiber Arts with two strands of floss over two fabric threads.
Belle Soie Cranberry by Classic Colorworks. If you stitch with two strands of floss (on 14/28 or 16/32 count), you will need two skeins. If you stitch with one strand of floss on a higher count fabric, you will need one skein.
Suggested DMC alternatives: 815 or 816
Specialty stitches: There are a few back stitches in the berry stems. You can omit them if you prefer.
***For the next year, Gathering Berries will be a fundraiser with all profits going to help my niece Stephanie, my nephew Justin, and their two young children. Justin has a very aggressive form of cancer and has undergone radiation and now chemotherapy.***
Pattern includes conversion to DMC.
