Hi, I’m Misty!

I became a cross stitch designer by accident. A friend commented that I loved stitching so much, maybe I should give designing cross stitch patterns a try. I decided that I would give it a shot. That was eight years ago, and I now have close to 100 published patterns!

My designs are influenced by my fascination with vintage decorations and packaging, nature (especially birds), and color. I enjoy creating artwork that is charming with an element of whimsy.

I want my designs to be fun and enjoyable to stitch, and I generally keep to basic stitches. I also love decorating and think about how you’ll be able to display your finished pieces in your home year after year. It’s fun to include display suggestions in my newsletter when I release new designs.

I used to stitch all of my models myself, but as I’ve gotten busier, I’ve been very fortunate to have help from several talented model stitchers.

When I’m not designing, I love wandering antique shops, painting in watercolors in my sketchbook, reading, weaving, and making things by hand.
